Cristiano Ronaldo-60+ goals for four consecutive years



A 5 time Ballon d’Or winner is considered one of the best footballer the world had ever seen. There are many factors for that, such as his incredible Champions League record, the most goals on an international stage, and scoring 60+ goals for four years in a row. The rivalry between Messi and Ronaldo is always a debatable point in sports. Both players accomplished several milestones and broke numerous records. But only Cristiano Ronaldo is capable of scoring 60 goals or more over the course of four years. 

Ronaldo not only scored massive numbers of goals but set several records during the years from 2011-2014. So, without taking things into more details let’s find out when and how he established this terrific history. 

60 Goals in a Year (2011)

This is the first year when Ronaldo started to put the landmark of netting goals to 60 or more in a year. 37-year-old Portuguese scored 60 Times in 2011 in just 60 appearances providing 18 assists. Moreover, he had 55 Goal Contributions in the Spanish League which is not normal in Football. 


63 Goals in a Year (2012)

This is the year when he started to gear up for the Champions League in a Real Madrid shirt. Ronaldo scored 13 Goals in 12 Games in the most elite competition of Club Football. In 2012, one of the most memorable celebrations occurred “Calma Calma” after CR7 scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Barcelona. He managed to take the goal numbers up to 63 in 2012.

69 Goals in a Year (2013)

In 2013, Cristiano won his 2nd Ballon D’or after producing such a masterclass against Sweden in a World Cup Qualifier game where victory was a must. He scored a hat trick to take Portugal into the World Cup. A Madeira-born Legend had a terrific La Liga journey that year as he got 38 goals in 33 appearances and won the La Liga title with 100 points. Moreover, his overall statistics were beyond belief as he scored 69 Goals which is 5th highest in football history along with 15 Assists in just 59 Games.

61 Goals in a Year (2014)

A year of La Decima where Real Madrid won the 10th Champions League Title after beating the domestic rival Atletico Madrid by 4-1. In that campaign, Ronaldo netted 17 Goals and 4 Assists in 11 Apps. The incredible Portuguese has achieved the m. The brilliant Portuguese created history in 2014 by becoming the first player to score 60+ goals in four consecutive years. That year was a lucky one for him as he clinched UCL, Copa del Rey, UEFA Super Cup, Club World Cup, Golden Shoe and Ballon D’or. 

No one can contest Ronaldo's scoring prowess, since he already holds many goalscoring records. He is also the only active player with more than 100 international goals.  It is not a case for everyone unless it is Cristiano Ronaldo, who has taken the ball back into the net at least 60+ times in four consecutive years. However, his arc rival still holds the record of winning 3 Consecutive European Golden Shoe.

In his classical career, he outscored many great players like Pele, Gerd Muller and Brazilian Ronaldo. To this date, he has the Most Official Goals in Football history 817 in 1222 outings. Ronaldo kept numerous records to his name but specifically, his UCL record and 4 Consecutive 60+ Goals in a Year are truly unparalleled.
