Karachi to be 'Decorated' Ahead of Sri Lanka Visit: City Commissioner

The city of Karachi will be "decorated to the fullest" for the upcoming arrival of the Sri Lanka cricket team, which is scheduled to play a three-match ODI series at the National Stadium starting Sep 27, Daily Jang reported on Friday.

The decision was taken by Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shalwani following a meeting he presided at the National Stadium on Friday.

The meeting was also attended by members of the city administration, security agencies as well as the PCB representative.

During the meeting, the commissioner Karachi was also given a briefing on the security plans and arrangements for the series.

The city of Karachi has copped significant damage due to rain and flash floods this year, with cracks on major thoroughfares a common sight.
