Hafeez's World Cup🏆 Participation in Doubt After 2nd Surgery

Senior all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez could miss out of the 2019 World Cup squad after he underwent a follow-up surgery on his fractured thumb in Manchester this week.

The 38-year-old has been advised rest for 2 weeks.

Head coach Mickey Arthur has set April 14 as the deadline for the players to undergo their final fitness tests before considering for World Cup selection. This means that Hafeez is racing against time to heal and prove his fitness for the premier event.
